I had one of these, which never really used. This year wife's van died. I bought this out, hooked it up, and was ready to go in a few minutes. I keep it charged now, and in her van. Having bought a pickup for me, I felt it would be good to have a second in this, just in case. Great product, easy to use, easy to charge, well worth the price.

Have owed the vtoman v1500 (1500A) for over a year and I've had to use it twice on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD Crew Cab (6.0 liter engine). Both times, it performed flawlessly under the conditions it was used.Both times, the battery was below 2 volts as the Boost LED light was off (i.e. not illuminated). In those cases, below 2 volts, the unit didn't jump start the battery. Wouldn't even make a noise trying to turnover. Fortunately, it has a manual override feature. In those cases, I pressed the manual override button for 3 seconds as indicated in the instructions, and the truck sprang to life immediately.So not only does it work when needed, it's incredibly easy to use and very easy to connect. A far superior option that dealing with the much larger jumper cables and trying to (1) find another vehicle willing to help and (2) dealing with aligning them, if possible, to allow the cables to reach.Each of the 5 vehicles in our family has one of these, each rated appropriately for the size of the engine in them.As a bonus, they have built in lights that can be used in the dark if needed...and, they can be used to charge a phone if needed.We will never go back to using jumper cables.Only thing to remember is to keep this unit charged. We set a reminder to check the units 2x a year to make sure they are charged.Highly recommended!

The VTOMAN v1500 is more than enough to start my ford fusion. From a full charge, I managed to do up to 6 cold jump starts before it reached red and slowed the start down, but it would still jump it. Charges up fast, and holds charge no matter the temp. I also love it has a plug in for USB you can use for a multitude of things. The light on it is also a great addition. If you have a vehicle that goes through batteries, or want something for an emergency, it's worth the money.

12v battery died on a relatively new car and this got it moving quickly. Two thumbs up for a great product.

This is my second purchase of this product. I picked up the first at Autozone for my wife to keep in her car. Ordered this one while visiting in-laws and was unable to get their car to start (compared prices with Autozone ; plus it was delivered the next morning).This is a safe, reliable, easy to use battery charger. Small enough to keep in the center console or the glove box.

I have never jumped started a battery before. I did this on my 79 Volkswagen bus and it worked perfect.

Small, compact and what a powerhouse. Easy to use and made well. Peace of mind for me when out on my Harley. I got stuck once with a dead battery. A fellow rider had a VTOMAN charger and saved the day. When I got home, I immediately ordered one for myself. I don't plan on getting stuck again with a dead battery. When I am not on my bike, I take it with me no matter what vehicle I'm driving. Perhaps someday I can help some other person out as well.

Truly this is a great product.It truly works.The performance is good I charged it up , put it on my car... It started right up.It was simple and it was a quick start.. I will be buying another one of these to put In my commercial vehicle for work.

Purchased this unit for the ability to quickly overcome the dreaded dead battery issues. Unit arrived quickly and seemed very sturday. I have had this unit for 5 months and have used it 5 times. I have boosted my tractor 2x (diesel), lawnmower at start of season, and diesel truck 2X ( ended up by new batteries for truck ). All these boost have come from one charge. I put the unit on the charger yesterday and there was still some charge left on it. I am very happy with this unit and I highly recommend it.

Had a battery die the other day and unfortunately didn't have this item at the time. Wife was stuck at gas station with no one offering to help! (No comment there!) Went down and tried to jump car with a cheap set of Wmart cables, nothing, had an older set in my truck tool box that worked great. Got car started and went and bought new battery. This item would of come in handy at the time. Ordered and keep in the trunk of car we are using at the time. May order two more for my other vehicles. Well built easy to charge and will for sure come in handy.

My husband feels safer having this in the car (even tho we have triple A). Keeping my husband happy? Five stars :)

I got this for Christmas 2023 and have already used it several times. I had a dead battery on my four-wheeler, and it started right up with this, no surprise, those batteries are tiny, but I was still pleased, as the compact and mobile design made getting the jumper pack to the four-wheeler a dream.The next week my dad's truck (An '05 Dodge Ram 3500 1-ton diesel) needed a jump. I wasn't sure it would do the job, but figured I'd give it a try. It didn't even hesitate, just started right up.I am super impressed; this thing works and works well.I was a little disappointed in the plastic shell though, the clip slipped on and snapped shut when I was jumping the 4-wheeeler, and the plastic cover caught on the post and broke a chunk of off. It should have been toughter than that!

I love this little feller, you could probably jump start a jet motor 30 times with it! You do have to override it when the lightning cube is super dead, which is a little finicky, but it'll git-r-dun. It does seem to take a few weeks for it to fully charge, more like several hours, but ya know.

I have never had any luck with any of these jumper boxes. This one changed my mind. I ordered one for my daughter who was away at college. Her car was dead as a wedge from lack of use. This jumper worked great and it started right up.

My car wouldn't start. I tried using my old vtoman boost and it wouldn't start on a full charge. I whipped this new one out, connected it, turned it on and started my 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport immediately! This one is a keeper!es before needing charging.I do recommend recharging after use and not depend on being able to jump start three times before recharging.

I have been needing a new jump starter but there have been none that could handle my diesel truck or even some of the smaller displacement engines in our other vehicles. In order to jump start when there is no detectable voltage you must press and hold the OVERRIDE button which has a red exclamation point (!) on it. I have included a video showing the jump start. Once I engaged OVERRIDE the ignition chime in the truck started as it normally does. The truck started as if there were a battery connected! I was pretty shocked at first but in a good way. I tried it another time the following day and I got the same result. After having completed the two worst case jump starts the battery showed three out of bars of capacity from a full charge. (Before I tested the unit I charged it to 100%.) So I imagine that it could do maybe 4 to 6 more jump starts of this difficulty. This is great because sometimes you may not be able to get a battery replaced immediately or fix a parasitic drain from a vehicle short. In this scenario I could continue driving as normal and recharge the jumper as needed.In short I definitely recommend vtoman v1500. None of my previous traditional battery-based or lithium-based starters could handle this test.

I frequently have to rescue my daughter and give her a jump, and I don't like using my battery with jumper cables. I had already given her my old jumper box, so I needed a replacement. I decided to get this very powerful unit so that I could get many jumps for her Chrysler 200, or any other car or truck, multiple times without a charge.Unlike most other chargers this doesn't just start the car, it immediately and robustly starts the car, effortlessly. And I've jumped about half a dozen times with it, and it still isn't out of power. It also charged very quickly before my first use. I used a laptop charger, because when you use a high amp USB C source, it can charge very quickly indeed.

I've had to jump my 2016 ford focus several times and this worked perfectly every time. I think I got 3 jumps off one charge but that was the limit.

Last year for a stocking stuffer I bought my wife and two sons each of of the vtoman v1500's to keep in their cars in case of an emergency. This year I bought one to keep in my Jeep. It arrived and I charged it up and threw it in my cargo compartment. About a week later as I am walking out of the grocery store I see a guy trying to jump start a dead Mercedes with his full size pickup. I put my groceries in the car and then walk back to see if I can help. I mention that I have a jump starter and he toled me he had tried his already and that even with cables the Mercedes wouldnt start.I go get theVTOMAN from my vehicle, hook it up, and the Mercedes was able to start immediately! Tons of starting power, the guy was really impressed and so was I.Highly recommend picking one of these up that is sized for your vehicle and throwing it in the trunk in the case of an emergency. Nothing like being self sufficient when you need a jump!

Worked very well ??

This is one of the most essential tools in my arsenal for fixing my cars. I've had to, for various reasons, jump my 1964 Pontiac Catalina and 2009 Pontiac G8. In each case, both cars cranked over with ease. Charging it back up is really simple and I like that it has USB out to charge my phone when I'm working on the cars. Would definitely recommend this.

It works! I have had it for quite a while and finally needed it. At that time, it was worth more than I paid for it. I do not leave it in the car in extreme weather because I want it to last for a very long time. That means I load it along with my other gear when I go skiing. I have found that the battery, like all other rechargeable batteries, loses a bit of charge over time, so I recharge it every six months or so. This is peace of mind in a small box.

Not one week after this arrived I had to use it twice. Once for myself and once for a coworker. I have a Ram 1500 with the 5.7 and it started right away without hesitation.

When I received this Jump Starter, it only had two red lines on the power indicator. I realize that items containing a battery cannot be shipped with a full charge, which is just fine by me. As soon as I hooked the jumper cables up and turned my vtoman v1500 the alarm on my Chevy Suburban began blaring, the lights were flashing, the lights inside were on, the instrument panel lit up so beautifully and the door was chiming. I got in, inserted the key and my baby started right up, as if there was nothing ever wrong with her!

Previously I bought model v1500 but then I didn't like it anymore and replaced this model v1500 with more powerful capacity.--------Update 1:After having it for a few days, I tested it on a few cars, everything went very well, tried charging my iPhone 3-4 times to full battery. But then I felt like the battery was worn out. After charging it twice, the battery was exhausted. I tested it over and over again a few times and plugged it in again, but vtoman wouldn't charge and wouldn't power on anymore. I don't know why, I've never used Override mode.

I like that it stared my truck even on a quarter charge.

I purchased this to replace some very old jumper cables that had decided to stop working. I was actually looking for new jumper cables when I saw this gadget. It came the same day I ordered it for no extra cost and was about 75% charged. I charged it the rest of the way, took it to my car, hooked it up (which it makes idiot proof with red and green light indicators that tell you whether or not you have the cables hooked up to the correct terminal), and it started my car right up.My 81-year-old Mom was so impressed with it, she asked me to see if it would start her 2006 Chrysler Pacifica she has parked in her garage that she hardly ever drives because the battery keeps dying & she doesn't want to get stuck somewhere. It had been sitting for almost two years. I had her hook it up so she'd know how to do it. She had to squeeze the cable connection with both hands, but was able to hook it up with no other issues. Neither the red nor the green light came on when it was hooked up. We hit the Boost button and then the green light came on, indicating the cables were connected correctly. Then, she went and started the car, which started right up! Didn't even flinch. She was so happy she had me order one for her and her 85-year-old boyfriend who still works as a pilot car driver. (They make being in your 80's not look too bad LOL!)As a single woman, I love the peace of mind this gives me. I like that Mom has one now, too. I'm very, very happy with this purchase. Getting it on sale for 33% off the original price was pretty nice, too.

Is it expensive? NO. Will it start a Chevy Tahoe with a completely dead battery? No, not in my experience. But, as long as the battery is not completely dead it has started our cars several times. During the winter, we get some short, extremely cold snaps here in MO. Those cold snaps are really hard on car batteries. This charger is so much easier and faster to use than cables.

Amazing how much power they can get out of these things I have actually use it to jump off a small tractor the battery stays charge for a very long period of time I have it plugged into my car where it charges only when the engine his own and is always ready the only reason I got this 1 is because I lost my other 1 which was several years old

I bought this as a trial I hate firing up the big dually or getting out the battery charger. Figured what the hell. Let me tell its awesome. Winter dumped snow and Temps dropped to 14 below batteries lost charge took this out put it on wife's Yukon it wouldnt even click to try to start. Put it on 12 seconds later it started right off good to go. Friend has a bigger one by someone else it wouldn't do a thing. Mine did it though.

I've had this for 8 months now and I just used it for the first time. I fully charged it when I first got it and when I turned it on today it still had 75% battery life so you don't have to worry about it dying before you need to use it. It was very easy to use, the instructions were clear and I love that it has lights to let you know if things are connected properly. This has been a life saver for me. I bought two to keep in two separate cars. I made sure to fully charge both units. I have had to use one of the units for one of the cars several times and bingo, works like a charm. My advice is to keep the unit powered on and attached to the battery per instructions for a minute or two before attempting to start your own car. If it doesn't turn over, make sure they are attached to the battery terminals and power is lit up and let it charge you battery for a few minutes before starting your car. Love this and can't say enough.

It works great. It only last for a couple of boosts then you have to charge it. But it does work. Very handy and compact.

I like this little unit. I have used a few times on my 2005 Honda Pilot and it always cranked right on the first try. It's a nice compact unit and I have no complaints. The cables are not super long but they don't need to be and after several uses I actually prefer them short. Very happy! Solid buy!

I tried it and it worked with a push of a button!After purchasing and arriving. Opened it and fully charged it. So after fully charging it put it to the test on my dead car. Hooked it up pushed the boost button. Car is alive within 30 seconds! Best purchased of the year for the car! I wish I took a video to prove it!

My work Trucks has strobe lights and quite often on long hours of use they tend to go dead even the radio doesn't work but this booster starts them up without a problem. It's better than I've ever seen for a booster.

Great little jumper that when charged will start any car with a dead batter. Additional bonuses it has a light and an emergency flasher. Battery run low on your cell phone? Rechard with this as well! You can't go wrong. I have 2 one for the car and 1 for the truck.

Able to start a 2018 Tacoma with a 3.5L V6. My truck's battery finally gave up the ghost 1 month shy of 6 years while I was trying to leave a gas station on my way to work. This allowed the truck to start on the first try and me to get to work on time. When I got there I recharged the unit for my trip home and couldn't believe how little charge was removed. I think it took maybe 15 minutes to top off. Very little doubt in my mind that I didn't even need to recharge before another use (aaI know they advertise multiple starts but I didn't want to chance it).

These are needed for every vehicle. Keeps a charge for a very long time. It started my V8 mustang right up with a dead battery. Very impressive product. I have bought 4 of these. Can also charge your phone and accessories. Awesome and a must have.

This is perfectly good for the smaller engines and I don't understand why they are shy about the actual amount of cranking amps given the price. This will maintain 500 amps for 1 second and 300 amps for 3 seconds in terms of jump starting technically the peak current is 1500 amps but that does not actually matter in traditional jump starting hence why the jump start current is so much lower. Device works perfectly fine and is well worth the relatively inexpensive price it's just annoying that they tweak the usability so much.

My son's car battery died and others tried to jump start his car before I got to where his car was at with no luck. I threw on this battery charger and it started the first time. I was hesitant in buying it originally but it was a small investment for something that might go wrong. It's very quick and easy to use vs having to use jumper cables and positioning my car to another car and having to put stress on my battery. it also saves time vs using roadside protection and having to wait for a tow truck. You may have to only use it a few times but it's worth all the headaches. Just buy it!

I have 2 vehicles and don't drive that often, being disabled. My Infiniti hadn't been driven in, or started, in over a year. I had another jump starter that I would have to use the full power button a few times to get it to start. After the jumper went dead, I got the GB50. One full power shot and the Infiniti started right up after a year of being dead. It didn't even deplete a notch off the GB50's battery.And if your battery is completely drained, in takes about 4 days of regular driving to fully recharge it. It may start on its own, but isn't fully recharged yet. So when someone else said to drive for 30 mins to fully charge your battery, that's incorrect. 30 mins may get it to where your vehicle may start on its own, but it's not fully recharged.I also bought the hard case for it. Much better than the nylon bag. The case keeps it safe from drops, has a handle, and more importantly... Keeps all the accessories locked in so they don't spill out of the bag. Unfortunately the GB50 doesn't come with an outlet plug to charge it. You either have to buy it separately, use a cell phone charger, or plug it into a computer or surge protector that has a USB port. The outlet plug also charges faster, but I refuse to pay extra for a plug that should be in the box. Especially not for what they charge.Overall, this is a great device that will start 90% of vehicles out there. Highly recommended!

Got 3 big SUVs, 2004 6.0 Silverado, 2002 Tahoe Z71 and a 2005 Suburban. i don't drive them often. After they sit, the batteries do get low. I'll use the jumper to start them so i can park them closer to an outlet, to hook up a battery changer, from the same brand. The VTOMAN body xl has no problem starting even a completely dead battery. The bypass works great, sometimes my truck is that dead. Great product.

I actually got this because my car battery was starting to act up a little, so I wasn't trusting it much, and I'm glad i did. I've already had to use it three times until I could get the battery itself replaced, and it was perfect. Super quick and easy to charge up my Mini Countryman (I wanted jumper with a little more oomph). Operation is super simple and quick, you just attach the positive clamp and the negative clamp to their respective battery posts, and then hold down the power button and leave it for a couple seconds, then try and start the car. If it doesn't start right away, you're supposed to wait an additional 20 to 30 seconds and try again. But it easily kick started it every time on the first try, and without recharging it, I am still showing full bars on the charge. If your battery is super low, there is an option to over-ride the smart detection system to charge it anyways, but note that the safety features are disabled while this mode is running, so the clamps could still spark if you touch them together. Really nice feature to have though if you're batter gets super low. Very impressed with its capabilities, and I love the fact that it's rechargeable via USB. Even comes with a light feature if needed. The only concern I have is that the documentation states you should not let it be in an environment above 122��F, so it makes it kind of difficult to recommend as an emergency backup to leave in your car, especially with me being in a very warm area in the summers. I did talk to a tow truck friend of mine who uses a larger model of the GB line, and he said he leaves his in his truck all the time without issues, just to keep it in a spot that won't get as much sun and is a bit shadier, like the trunk, so take that for what it's worth, but if you do want be on the safe side, you should leave this at home for the most part and just carry it around if you are geI love it, would highly recommend!

Worth the buy. Worked exactly as needed. Good tool to have on hand. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. I had neglected to start up an 06 Infiniti sitting in the heat for a couple of weeks when the battery was already going bad. Don't judge! I bought a new car.So, since I always intended to own a portable jumper for times like this, having no cables & instead of bothering anyone with a jump, I pulled the trigger and bought one of these units. I of course had to charge it completely which took somewhere between 4-6 hours.Upon hooking up to the battery.t did take a minute or two for the car battery to receive the charge,but once it did, the unit started making a clicking sound, the power LED Indicators on the unit started cycling (which to me suggested the unit was officially feeding the car battery) - went to turn the key in the ignition and voila, car started up without skipping a beatThe Jumper Cables are a tad short, but understandably for the purpose of being compact. I myself had no issues reaching my battery with them, but could pose an issue to those with a hard to reach battery.The LED illumination lights definitely supply you with some decent light, and would certainly be visible at night on the road or get you around your house in a power outage, but I would not recommend it be used as a primary light source.It also includes a USB port for you to connect a charger for your devices.I understand others have later reported that their unit died on them. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I went on vacay and my Escalade sat for two weeks. Tried to start without success. Purchased the vtoman v1500. The unit info claims that battery is 50% charged out of the box but my device needed charging for 24 hours. Unit is compact and easy to use. After placing positive and negative clamps on battery and activation of unit, the car started on the first crank. This device is easy to use and is highly recommended.

...it probably is.Not in this case.I don't like jump starting cars. Had a unpleasant experience helping someone a few years ago that damaged my battery. I stopped carrying cables after that. Called AAA from then on.I don't drive much since the pandemic so my car (2013 Nissan Altima) sits idle for days. It doesn't help that cold weather isn't friendly toward batteries. After my battery died twice in the same number of weeks I decided to look into getting a portable car battery charger.The vtoman v1500 I ordered arrived the same day. While charging it I looked at the manual and immediately sighed in dismay at the small print. Decided instead to refer to YouTube for instructions which I found quite readily. What I observed raised a few doubts. The demonstrations seemed incredibly easy. Guys were charging old weak batteries, dead batteries...batteries that were neglected. One guy FOUND a vtoman charger he forgot he had in his truck for a year. All of these guys seemingly knew about cars. I know nothing. That's what made me nervous. I didn't look forward to trying this thing and having it not work for me.So after work today I decided to give it a try. Popped the hood, attached the cables, turned it on, waited a few seconds and pressed the ignition button.Nothing.(crickets)Returned to the GB40. Checked the cable contacts, pressed the BOOST (!) button, pressed the ignition button.The engine cranked up just like it was shown in the YouTube videos.

I am not storing this in a freezing car, so I cannot comment on the reviewers who find it dead after sitting in the cold for months. I keep it charged in my house so I can start my riding mower in the spring after it sits in the shed for months. It absolutely worked, cranked and cranked a good 4-5 seconds to start it up. Without any question, it is great for that. Takes a bit to charge back up, but assuming the mower is okay, decent alternator and battery, I won't need it beyond that first start anyway. No power in the shed, so this is a great solution. Also thought about a single solar panel driving a trickle charger, but this definitely does work.

Things I like: 1. Size, it is around the size of a 150 count dryer sheet box. 2. Simple operation. 3. The flashlight works well while under the hood. 4. It can handle jump starting the motor of my 2001 triton Ford Expedition.Now for the things that I would like to be improved but aren't deal breakers. 1. The charge time and temperature limitations. I planned to leave this charing in my garage but it asks for you not to charge in temps over 90 and being in Texas that will make me charge this inside. The charge time of this pack is a bit high at atound 4 hours, but also not a deal breaker. Overall, I will be buying again if needed.

Vtoman's jump starter is a game-changer. Gone are the days of relying on strangers for a jump, now I can handle it myself!

I'm not sure about how power this is but I purchased this for my small engine business for anything that takes a battery. I really like how compact and light this is. I bought 2 tractors yesterday and today I'm going to try this on both batteries. Make sure you hook the red on positive and black on the negatives or you will destroy this if not done correctly. This product works every time as long as it's charged. Has a long charge life before needing recharged. Very easy to use

I've had other chargers that are bulky and don't do as well. The ease of the fit of this unit to go in your purse if you need to take on the road with you makes it very good. I couldn't believe how well it started my car first try.

This charger is awesome and very easy to use. It small and convenient I charged it once and have had to use it 3 or 4 times and have yet to recharge it but I think I will ?? love this it's a must have especially for women that are single you can do it yourself

I haven't had to use it for my truck yet but while on a trip to the snow I used it to start two cars. The product worked as advertised and both of the other car owners took pictures of the device and said they were going to buy one. This device does save the day.
